ARRAY @ LA PHIL Presents:

Movie Soundtrack Yoga

Saturday, November 5 @ 10 AM | The Ford

Laying a foundation for creativity and collaboration through wellness, we invite yogis at all levels to join an open-air class led by Lauren Spearman, founder of R&B Yoga. The morning’s playlist will feature songs by Black women from film and television soundtracks.

This event is part of the 2022 Humanities Program at LA Phil which takes the work on their stages as a starting point for a larger cultural conversation. This year, celebrated filmmaker Ava DuVernay’s ARRAY, a Peabody Award winning narrative change collective, curates a series of humanities events exploring the themes of Rock My Soul through the lens of film and television music. Rock My Soul is a festival celebrating both historical and present-day collaboration and community formed by Black woman-identifying artists, curated by soprano Julia Bullock. The Rock My Soul festival is generously supported in part by Margaret Morgan and Wesley Phoa. The LA Phil's Humanities Programs are generously supported by Linda and David Shaheen.

Please note: This in-person event does not take place at ARRAY's Creative Campus. Please check the ticketing site for full arrival/check-in details and COVID protocols.
