Gather 'round film lovers for ARRAY's special tribute to the extraordinary screen star Mr. Sidney Poitier. We're opening the doors of Amanda Cinema to feature two of Mr. Poitier's beautiful classic works, PARIS BLUES and NO WAY OUT. In conjunction with this one-day double feature showing, our ARRAY 101 initiative will debut the newest learning companion for the three-part docu-series THEY’VE GOTTA HAVE US. Engaging audiences with interactive discussions, this event goes beyond the screen to prompt discussions about Mr. Poitier's undeniable legacy as an artist and activist.

In Sidney Poitier's first feature film NO WAY OUT, a hospital's only Black doctor is assigned to treat two white brothers who have been shot. When one dies on the operating table, it causes tension within the town that could start a race riot.

Please note: Masks and proof of full vaccination plus booster will be required at check-in in order to access this event.
